
Annual Fraud, Waste & Abuse Training 2026
Course Overview
This course provides healthcare professionals and support staff with essential knowledge to identify, prevent, and report fraud, waste, and abuse in the medical and consulting fields. Participants will learn the definitions of FWA, common examples in healthcare settings, and the legal and ethical responsibilities required under federal and state regulations. The training emphasizes compliance with government contracts, grants, and healthcare program requirements, even for organizations that do not directly bill insurance. This course completes FWA training requirements for 2026, and will be revised for 2027.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
Understand FWA Basics, defining fraud, waste, and abuse in healthcare.
Recognize Risks by Identifying common examples and warning signs of FWA.
Apply best practices and follow FWA reporting procedures.
Target Audience
All Epifluence staff and contractors, due to organizational receipt of federal funds.
